This unusual approach had one drawback - to change the setting, it was necessary to exit the running game or program and find the desired shortcut.
A modified way to launch such a setting was implemented by the author of the tweak BrightVol.
Its Cydia add-on is an add-on to the popular Activator tweak (included with SBSettings) and allows you to customize button functions for any of the iOS gestures.
The developer offers the most convenient, from his point of view, activation method - simultaneously pressing both volume buttons. Of course, this method will not work for owners of older phones and players. After all, they do not have two buttons, but a rocker button is used and you cannot press it in both positions at once. After installing the BrightVol tweak and setting it accordingly, you get the following functionality: after simultaneously pressing the volume control buttons, you can change the screen brightness. To return to the default starting position, press the buttons again.
