Is the iPhone really more popular than Samsung? This question worries many, and to find the answer to this question, ChangeWave researched the popularity index of smartphones from these two manufacturers. The research results were extremely interesting.
So, having interviewed 4,000 US residents, analysts were able to answer the question posed above. ChangeWave representatives told the subjects about all the features of the new product from Samsung - its characteristics and technical parameters, later - about possible features of the next generation iPhone 5.
At the end of the survey, one question was asked: which phone will you buy for yourself?
Within the next 3 months, about 19% of respondents wanted to purchase Samsung Galaxy S3. Not a bad result, in March this year, as a result of such a poll, it was only 13%. IPhone 5 results - 50%.
However, among those who plan to buy a new phone within a year from Samsung Galaxy S3, there were only 9% of those surveyed. In the case of such a purchase, the iPhone 5 - 31%.
As you can see, the still unreleased iPhone 5 has already become more popular than the Samsung Galaxy S3.
But it turns out that not only his one - even the current flagship of Apple - iPhone 4S is not so popular: according to the survey, which was conducted in October 2011 and June 2012, the desire to buy an iPhone 4S is not as great as the desire to buy an iPhone 5.
So in October 2011, among the respondents, there were only 10% who said that they would definitely buy an iPhone 4S, and 11% answered "most likely I will buy it." In June 2012, a survey was conducted on the issue of purchasing the iPhone 5: 14% of those surveyed said they would “definitely buy” and 17% said that they would “most likely”.
