Last year, Apple unveiled a new redesigned “cube on Fifth Avenue,” which has dropped from 90 to 15. This year, on July 14, a converted SoHo store, formerly occupied by the US Postal Service, opened in New York. There is more space in the store.

Along with adding sales space, Apple architects redesigned the iconic glass staircase.

Apple first introduced the glass staircase design in 2002, a design that has spread to many well-known stores.
At first glance, this is an ordinary glass staircase, familiar to those who have been in Apple stores, but if you look closely, you can see that it is made without seams. It is a solid piece of glass in a zigzag shape. The whole structure is very robust, the railings are made up of 5 layers of glass joined together.

It is also worth noting that the whole composition looks very beautiful and airy, as in all techniques, the special Apple style is immediately visible.

Below is a drawing of the staircase patented by Apple in 2002.
