Apple was able to achieve the introduction of a temporary ban on the sale of Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 in the European Union. Another complaint by Apple about the Galaxy Tab 10.1N was not satisfied by the court. The ban on the sale of 7-inch Samsung tablets applies to the city of Dusseldorf, which is located in Germany.

The judges saw the similarities between the tablet and the one depicted in the 2004 drawings provided by Apple.
A similar ban on another tablet from Samsung - the Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet was introduced in August 2011. At first, the ban spread throughout the European Union, then it was limited only to Germany. Last year, Samsung managed to bypass the court decision by releasing an updated version of the gadget called the Galaxy Tab 10.1N. Apple tried to find violations here too, but the court did not agree.

Galaxy Tab 7.7 was released in September 2011. Outwardly, it is a flat plastic device with rounded corners, weighing only 335 grams. The Galaxy Tab 7.7 is considered one of the lightest tablets from the Korean manufacturer.
The subject of disagreement between Apple and Samsung is design and devices. Apple believes that the adversary is copying design solutions and applies it to its products. Disputes between these companies have been going on since April 2011 in dozens of countries.
