Rovio is pleased to announce that Angry Birds Space, the latest arcade game about the war of "evil" birds and pigs, has been downloaded over 50 million times. This figure was recorded just 35 days after the game was released. These successes have made Angry Birds Space the fastest growing game not only for mobile platforms, but for the industry as a whole.

If you remember, the game also set records earlier: in three days it was downloaded 10 million times. Perhaps Rovio owes its success to the iOS platform, with its 365 million audience. And since the company is on the crest of the wave, it does not intend to stop there. The director of the company officially stated this:
I think this is what Apple was striving for with its App Store, which launched back in 2008. Of course, Angry Birds is a good game and I have no doubt that it is available on the devices of most Apple fans, but whatever one may say, its 10 million paid downloads in a few days, nevertheless, owes to the colossal scale of the iOS platform.
