Workers' rights activists were delighted when they learned that Apple has partnered with Foxconn to ease working conditions in Chinese factories. Let me remind you that the working hours were reduced to 49 hours per week. Strange as it may seem, there were opponents of this decision - these are the workers themselves. Several employees unhappy with the working conditions were interviewed by the Reuters news agency.

Chen Yami, 25 years old:
Employees say there is nothing to do at Foxconn in their free time. Workers sometimes watch TV programs, play computer games, or simply sit back in uncomfortable dormitories. But most of the people here work with the sole purpose of getting money, and not sitting around. Employees are trying to prove in words that reducing the number of working hours will not affect their wages in any way, but they do not trust these statements of management.
Finally, I would like to note that before deciding to reduce working hours, the company should have asked the opinion of workers. Decisions made in another country by people with different interests and thinking often look unjustified and unjustified.
