Users of the popular iOS BitTorrent client iTransmission, released by developer Mike Chen last year, received a long-awaited update today. iTransmission 2 supports the latest versions of Apple's mobile software. As a reminder, iTransmission 2 is a jailbreak app and requires a jailbreak on your i-device.
The iOS BitTorrent client iTransmission 2 is very user-friendly and easy to use. To start the download, just click on the desired torrent file in your mobile browser and select to open the file using the iTransmission 2 application in the pop-up window that appears. Depending on the torrent tracker and the presence of seeds, the file download should start immediately after opening the client.
The client has a hidden settings panel, which is activated with a swipe (gesture) from left to right along the edge of the screen. In the settings you can set download restrictions and configure ports.
The app is available for free from the ModMyi repository in Cydia.
If you have already tried out iTransmission 2, then we would love to hear from you about the application.
