A few days ago a new beta version of the most popular online communication application - Skype for Mac, number 5.11 was released. Below we give you a list of those innovations that are indicated on the official page of the application.

Sending a message via Massanger
You can now sign in to the application using your Microsoft account (Windows Live ID). This will allow you to view, receive and send messages to your friends who are using Messenger, Xbox, Hotmail, or Outlook.com.
Improved integration with Facebook
Also, you can now log into Skype using your Facebook account, without the need to separately create an account in Skype.
Ability to link Microsoft and Facebook accounts to Skype
If you sign in to Skype using your Microsoft or Facebook accounts, you will be prompted to integrate them into the application. This means that Facebook and Microsoft friends will be added to the friends list. This is a feature that is still being worked on, so there may be some issues that you can report to support.
Each of the dialogs can be opened in its own window
You can activate this function in the following way: Settings-> General -> Open conversation in a new window by double-clicking on the sidebar (Preferences -> General -> Open conversation in new window when I double-click in the sidebar).

In addition, the new version adds HD versions of emoticons.
The developers actively ask users to report if any problems arise while using the program. User activity will help the developer to quickly release the maximum working version of Skype.
