On December 16, the official sales of the iPhone 4S started throughout Russia. According to representatives of official distributors, the first day of sales passed without long queues and excitement typical of other countries. The main reason for this is considered to be the inflated prices for the new product and the opinions of buyers associated with the absence of obvious differences between the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S.
New smartphones from Apple went on sale through the retail chains White Wind Digital, Re: Store, M. Video and Euroset, as well as through official distributors VimpelCom and MTS.
Let's announce the prices again: the black model with a volume of 16 GB is sold for 36,990 rubles, with 32 GB - for 39,990 rubles, 64 GB - 44,990 rubles, the iPhone 4S in white is sold for 1,000 rubles more.
The main differences between the new items from the previous model of iPhone 4 are a more powerful A5 processor, an 8-megapixel camera capable of shooting in low light and a voice personal assistant Siri.
Before the official start of smartphone sales in Russia, outbids were selling "gray" devices using online stores. Immediately after the release of the iPhone 4S in other countries, the brought 4S was sold for 130,000 rubles, in a few weeks the price dropped to 70,000.

Lyudmila Semushina hopes that successful sales of the iPhone 4S can be expected closer to the new year, and the first batch of smartphones in re: Store sales centers may be sold out by early next week.
