Ryan Petrich, a well-known developer in the jailbreak community, posted an interesting screenshot on his Twitter, which apparently answers the question that has frozen in the mouth of Apple fans: "Can iOS 7 be jailbroken?"
The image shows one of Ryan's most popular tweaks, Activator, running on an iPod Touch with the latest firmware.
News about new devices, app reviews, intriguing rumors - all of this is, of course, very cool. But we definitely missed one thing - the news about the hacking of Apple's mobile operating system, or simply jailbreak. Since the time when Apple covered up any possibility of hacking i-gadgets with a tool from the evad3rs hacker group with its ill-fated iOS 6.1.3 (iOS 6.1.4 for iPhone 5), we have not heard anything particularly interesting in this area. And now, apparently, they waited.
The screenshot posted on Twitter by Rain Petritsch clearly shows the Activator jailbreak tweak running on an iPod Touch running iOS 7. Skeptics immediately started talking about a possible falsification of a screenshot, but this kind of notification cannot be in the emulator. Apparently, the developer recorded this moment just in order to exclude all talk about "fake".
There is still, oddly enough, very little news about the iOS 7 jailbreak. As a reminder, last year, iOS 6 was jailbroken within 24 hours of release. In addition, it is not known what method Petrich used, but we hope that the maximum number of users will have access to this opportunity.
The future of jailbreak after such news becomes brighter, just like the new iOS 7. And if you remember the statement of the hacker Planetbeing about several unused "holes" in iOS, which he carefully saved for better times, then it is likely that in September the jailbreak community will receive a new tool to get the latest iOS firmware jailbreak.
