The announcement of iOS 7 ushered in a new era of iOS design, completely ditching old thinking and providing fertile ground for redesigning various standard apps.

While Apple's mobile operating system itself has been updated to a new aesthetic, the apps have remained pretty much the same. Apparently, by the fall, which is likely to be the official release of iOS 7, Apple will have to rebuild all its applications for the new style. How will it look like?
iLife
iPhoto, iMovie, and Garageband, all included in the iLife collection on iOS, are some of Apple 's most popular apps. And, of course, in an operating system without the raised textures and buttons that we see in iOS 7, the focus should be on animation. Somewhere it will be easier to implement, somewhere more difficult. In iPhoto, for example, it will be relatively easy to add stylish animations without losing the rigorous functionality that we're used to. Also Applecan remove some of the brushes, palettes and filters in favor of something simpler. This will have no real impact on the functionality of the application and will bring something new and original. Garageband will take much longer to

work on. It won't be so easy to keep everything that users love about this app and at the same time redesign it to fit the iOS 7 style. Just removing textures and adding more transparent elements won't work, as they say. The depth and realism once added by skilled designers should continue. This can only be achieved using the same animation, transparency and parallax effect. And this all presents a serious problem for Apple. A good example for designers from Cupertino can be … their own calculator in iOS 7. The interface doesn't try to mimic the plastic buttons or LCD screen of a real calculator, but the use of animation makes it feel real.

Last but not least, the iLife app, iMovie, doesn't have to be drastically changed. Like iPhoto, we will most likely see unnecessary details and textures removed.

iWork
When Apple VP Phil Schiller introduced iWork in 2010, he called lacquered wood "the most beautiful application design material you've ever seen." The mentality has changed in recent years. iOS 7 offers the user a much simpler interface. Pages, Keynote, and Numbers (apps included with iWork) are likely to emphasize this approach. When you work with a document, presentation, or spreadsheet, you want to concentrate on your work and not on contemplating the user interface. This is why many alternative applications such as iA Writer and Documents have become so popular.

iWork in iOS 7 may not be as drastic, but it will take this approach, reducing visual clutter and removing unnecessary UI elements that do not fit into the concept of the new operating system. The only thing that can be difficult is reorganization of the icons in the control panel. Apple must find a balance between minimalist iOS models and large, even detailed Mac OS icons.
Podcasts
Appendix Podcasts from Apple was launched last summer. The original version was full of realistic interface elements that Apple was obsessed with. An update was released earlier this year that omitted many details, but even this “overhaul” isn't enough for a full version of Podcasts in iOS 7. The logical move here would be a completely redesigned interface color scheme, for example, into darker colors.

iBooks
Something, and iBooks will be in iOS 7 simply unrecognizable. At WWDC 2013, Craig Federighi, vice president of Apple Software Mac, demonstrated a version of iBooks for Mac in a new aesthetic design. The wooden shelves are carved - this is probably what catches your eye first. But the trend of completely abandoning the tree is also observed here, so, most likely, we will see approximately this kind of iBooks in iOS 7. Plus, the new iBooks icon also suggests these thoughts.

Of course, the mockups above are just mockups and, as you know, Applecan turn in a completely different direction at any moment. But, given how little time remains before the official release of iOS 7 (and we expect to see it in September), we will see something very similar to what we have now.
