Apple's new iPhone 5C is expected to feature a plastic casing similar to the iPhone 3GS, but much more durable.
The use of polycarbonate instead of the sensitive combination of two-tone aluminum and glass on the iPhone 5 should be the next step in the fight against scratches and damage, as demonstrated in a video posted on Taiwan's Apple Daily website.
The video also shows the exact dimensions of the iPhone 5C, which, despite the four-inch screen, the same as the iPhone 5, will be slightly taller and thicker than its more expensive sibling …
Apple Daily employees stress test iPhone 5C. The phone (or rather the case) was put in a bag with keys and coins - items that are usually in a pocket - and shook it properly.
The website cites a source claiming that the plastic iPhone reached an 8H mark on a pencil scale, which is three times stronger than conventional film used to protect iPhone displays from scratches.
Another thing that can be gleaned from the video is color.
According to the information presented in it, the iPhone 5C will be available in red, green, white and blue, which confirms the rumors circulating before. Also recently there was information about the possible release of a yellow and black variant of the iPhone 5C.
The video also shows the dimensions of the new phone: width - 59.13 mm, height - 124.55 mm and thickness - 8.98 mm.
In comparison, the iPhone 5 is 58.6mm wide, 123.8mm high, and 7.6mm thick. The slightly larger size of the iPhone 5C can be attributed to the use of polycarbonate instead of aluminum.
There is a frame in the video comparing the back panel of the iPhone 5 and iPhone 5S, although it cannot be guaranteed.
The blog post confirms previous claims regarding the inside of the device, reiterating that the phone will feature an improved camera with dual LED flash for better low light performance. Otherwise, the filling will hardly distinguish this model from the iPhone 5.

Considering that iPhone 5 simply attracts scratches and damage, the iPhone 5C 's mechanically resistant casing and lower price will make it very popular among people who are not burdened with extra money.
Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C to the public at a press conference on September 10.
