On Wednesday, representatives of the South Korean company Samsung announced the planned for today, October 11, the announcement of the Galaxy S III mini smartphone, which will be held in Germany. If we take into account the characteristics of the new items, which became known, then it will most likely be a budget-class smartphone.
It is unlikely that such a product will be able to compete with Apple's iPhone 5, which debuted earlier.
According to the German Internet resource MobileGeeks, Galaxy S III mini will be equipped with a 4-inch display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels and a 5-megapixel camera. Compared to the iPhone 5, the latter has a 1136-by-640-pixel screen and an 8-megapixel rear camera.
In addition, it is expected that the device will operate on the basis of a 2-core ST-Ericsson U8420 processor (clock frequency 1 GHz), which is a kind of step back, if we recall the four-core Exynos installed in the older Galaxy S III. The new smart phone from the Korean manufacturer will be equipped with 1 gigabyte of RAM, 16 gigabytes of flash memory, and will also support microSD cards.
The smartphone is supposed to be powered by the latest version of the Android operating system, Jelly Bean, with Samsung's TouchWiz interface.
