For users of Android-based devices, the latest update of the VKontakte application version 3.3 is already available for download. The update is also available even for the latest Android 4.4 KitKat OS.
In the updated version of the client, the notification settings have been improved, now you can select the category of messages that the user does not want to receive. For example, it is possible to cancel push notifications, which may include friend requests, messages, mentions and replies. The Do Not Disturb menu has become somewhat wider and allows you to specify the exact time for canceling notifications at any time during the day. Another announced innovation concerns the ability to edit comments, which, before that, with incorrect content or errors, could only be deleted, and then a new text could be written.
A new version of the VKontakte client for the iOS 7 platform with similar functions and a similar design has also been developed and sent to the App Storebut rejected by Apple App Store moderators for unknown reasons.
Earlier, the founder of the VKontakte network, Pavel Durov, said that the release of the application for iOS 7 was delayed due to the coincidence with holidays and weekends in the United States, which, in one way or another, affected Apple itself.
At the time of publication of the news, the average rating of a new VKontakte client in the Google app store was 4 points.
