Google's new tablet has too many glitches, so much so that buying it now is just a waste of money. This is the opinion of experts from Consumer Reports, however, the manufacturer has already reported on the release of a patch that fixes all these shortcomings.

The first serious glitch in the Nexus 7 is the incorrect operation of the touch display, which leads to tangible problems when typing large amounts of text. The publisher's specialists drew attention to numerous user complaints and conducted their own, independent testing - the error was confirmed. The second most important problem of the second generation Google tablet is the hang when working with GPS. When using navigation software, users often experience long delays, and when testing this option, Consumer Reports experts helped only restart the device. Already these two drawbacks are enough to make an unflattering assessment of the Nexus 7.
Therefore, Consumer Reports does not recommend buying a tablet right now, urging prudent users to postpone spending. But at the same time they honestly note that the device is very interesting in general. For example, the second-generation Nexus 7 is nearly an order of magnitude clearer than other tablets, and the combination of a powerful processor, large memory and low price sets Google's brain apart from competitors. Consumer Reports are not alone in their assessment of the novelty - other critics also praise the technical component of the gadget, but rightly point to too little software adapted for it.
Recall that the second generation Nexus 7 was released almost a month ago, and it went on sale in the US on July 30. Distinctive features of the previous version are the reduced thickness of the case to 7.6 mm and the weight reduced to only 317.5 g. Also, a new 5 megapixel camera appeared and the display resolution changed - now it is 1920 × 1200 pixels. As for the bugs described above, there have already been reports on the Web that Google is preparing a major patch to fix them. Therefore, it is worth heed the advice of Consumer Reports and wait. By the way, the glory of the "appraiser" of new products was not just entrenched for the publishing house - at one time it called for a boycott of the iPhone 4 due to problems with a poorly designed antenna.
