Executive Director of Microsoft Steve Ballmer (Steve Ballmer) last addressed a letter to the shareholders of the company, in which he described how he sees the future of the company "without Ballmer." Last year, in a similar address, he unveiled his plan to transform the software giant into a device and service company.

Steve Ballmer plans to leave Microsoft within the next 12 months, and he said he wrote his letter to shareholders "as the CEO of the company I love." The fact that these are not empty words, Steve demonstrated during the final speech at a meeting at the company, when he could not hold back his tears, talking about goodbye to Microsoft.
Ballmer's latest letter to shareholders notes that Microsoft is still in the "early stages" of transforming itself into a device-to-service company. Ballmer believes the launch of Windows 8, which delivers a familiar user interface across PCs and tablets, Xbox, and smartphones, is a big deal for the company. Ballmer believes that Microsoft's goal is to take it to the next level - meeting the needs of users, such as communicating with family or colleagues, regardless of where everyone is located.

The goal is essentially the same as at the beginning of the year and can be summed up in two words - “One Microsoft ”. The company is in the midst of a giant reorganization that will integrate Nokia devices and services into the company's business.
Finishing his note, Ballmer writes:
