One of the distinctive features and arguments in favor of purchasing a brand new iPhone 5 last fall was the presence of the "dynamic low-light mode", which allows you to get better photos in comparison with its predecessors in low light conditions.

In practice, as usual, the achievement turned out to be half-hearted. And if the pictures taken with iSight (built-in rear camera) in the semi-darkness were quite good, the result of the smartphone's front camera did not stand up to criticism.
The reason lay in the lack of a flash, however, the authors of the FrontFlash tweak decided to bypass it in a rather original way. The application changes the display parameters, bringing it to the maximum brightness mode, and makes it blink at a high speed. All this happens at the moment of pressing the virtual shutter of the camera, while the display light plays the role of the very much-needed flash. As you can see in the examples, the result is quite acceptable, which is not surprising - the iPhone 5 has a very bright screen.

The idea of using the display as a flash is, strictly speaking, not new and has already been implemented in other tweaks. FrontFlash is just another handy application that simplifies the work with the front camera of the iPhone. For example, it is possible to set it to be forced to turn on when the camera is activated, both for photos and for video recording - so that every time you do not climb into the settings. Best of all, the FrontFlash tweak - iPhone front camera flash is available in the BigBoss repository for a more than affordable price - for free.
