Another long-awaited novelty is already available "on the shelves" of the supermarket of applications for the iOS App Store. The game will be a remake of the sequel Prince of Persia 2: The Shadow and the Flame, which was released for PC in 1994 - a year after the first story about the Prince of Persia. As is customary in such cases, the platformer combines modern graphics and gameplay with the entourage of the first versions of Prince of Persia. The creator of the series, Jordan Meckner, has already appreciated the novelty and shared some of the nuances of the plot on his blog.

The game Prince of Persia: The Shadow and the Flame was developed by Pune Studios, which previously participated in the PP Classic project for the Xbox Live Arcade. The game consists of fourteen levels in which the player will have to fight opponents in updated battle modes. The controls have been optimized and become fully touch-sensitive, with the ability to use a virtual joystick.

Note that the 10-year-old Prince of Persia series already has 10 full-fledged modifications, not counting additional mods, sequels, etc. The first part was released in 1993 by Jordan Meckner and became a real bestseller. Later, the game was ported in a wide variety of variations to almost all popular platforms, and in April of last year, Meckner announced that he had found three floppy disks with optimized game code for the Apple II, lost in the 90s, which is now freely available.
