Yesterday, hacker MuscleNerd from the Evad3rs team reported that the iOS 7.0.6 update may close some vulnerabilities used by the Evasi0n7 utility to hack the platform. But, as it turned out, the problem of jailbreak of the new firmware can be solved independently by following the instructions below.

Recall that the iOS 7.0.6 patch was released to fix an SSL verification error, however, Evad3rs feared that Apple developers also fixed some vulnerabilities, and asked not to rush with the update, but to wait for the Evasi0n7 utility to be updated. Nevertheless, today the hacker Win0cm reported that for the jailbreak to work correctly, it is enough to correct the build number - such a modification does not require special knowledge, it is enough just to perform the following algorithm of actions. How to jailbreak iOS 7.0.6 for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch

1. Download the iOS 7.0.6 firmware and install it on the device via the restore function in iTunes;

2. Download jailbreak utility Evasi0n7 1.0.5;

3. If you are using Mac OS X, then download the free HexEdit application from here, if you are using Windows - the free Hex Editor Neo from here;

4. Open Evasi0n7 1.0.5 using one of the installed editors: Select Evasi0n7.app -> Right Click (Show Package Contents) -> Content -> MacOS -> Evasi0n7 -> Right Click (Open In Program).

5. Now you need to replace the build number, for this use the search menu (CTRL + F);

6. Search for "11B511" (build number iOS 7.0.5) and replace with "11B651" (build number iOS 7.0.6 ");

7. Save changes in the document (File / Save).

That's it, you have successfully modified the Evasi0n7 utility and got an untethered jailbreak for iOS 7.0.6. Important!
