One of them is Katie Huberty of Morgan Stanley, who claims that in the first year after the start of sales, Apple sold about 58.3 million iWatch. This prediction looks very optimistic, especially when you consider that Huberty estimates for the first wearable gadget Apple will cost $ 299 apiece. It is worth noting that the already released Galaxy Gear smart watches are in the same price range and Samsung managed to sell only 800 thousand copies in the first two months of sales.
Naturally, the market is growing, and the watches developed by the Koreans can hardly be called a successful example of the implementation of the concept of wearable electronics. And nevertheless, Huberty's forecast looks very, very exaggerated against the background of the assumptions of other analysts. For example, research agency Tsai believes that under the best of circumstances, Apple will only be able to grow its gross margin by 4% thanks to iWatch sales.
