iMessage, a branded "apple" service, previously available only to owners of gadgets with iOS on board, has recently appeared on Google Play. This is not a concession on the part of Apple, but the trick of hackers who released an "edited" version of the application.

The authorship of the development belongs to the hacker Adam Bell, but for obvious reasons he did not publish any details about the work done. How exactly the enthusiast managed to trick the control system on Apple's servers is unclear. But the fact remains - after installing a new version of iMessage on an android device, it is perceived by the service as a Mac mini computer. In addition, now we can safely say that the application has become truly cross-platform.
However, literally hours after the release of iMessage for Android, the well-known iOS hacker Pod2g posted a warning on his Twitter that Bell's development was malware that steals Apple IDs. At the time of the publication of the message, about 50 thousand owners of devices on the Android platform had already downloaded the dangerous application. Pod2g also notes that the stolen Apple ID account information is fully available to the app developer.

iMessage is a universal application designed for use on smartphones, tablets and iOS players. For the first time the development appeared after the release of the 5th version of the "apple" operating system and was intended for mobile communicators, later iMessage was adapted for the Mac family. The advantage of the messenger is in a user-friendly interface for sending and receiving text messages, including attachments in other formats.
