Despite the fact that the new Mac Pro was announced back in June, their sales started only last week. Mac Pro 2013 differs significantly from previous models with the usual rectangular system units. Apple's new supercomputer has a cylindrical aluminum chassis that is half the height of a 2012 Mac Pro.

The layout of the components inside the case, as well as their form factor, is also completely new and unusual. In the center there is a triangular radiator, on the sides of which there are two video cards, and below the motherboard, which is the base. Only one fan is used to cool the computer.

The Other World Computing team, which was disassembling the Mac Pro 2013, found out that the computer has a processor in the LGA 2011 socket. And, what is important, the processor is removable and has no wiring on the board. This circumstance, undoubtedly, should please the fans of the upgrade - judging by the technical description of the socket, the design allows equipping the computer with a 12-core Ivy Bridge processor with a clock frequency of up to 2.7 GHz.

The price of the base model Mac Pro 2013 in Russia is 125 thousand rubles, while the computer has the following configuration:
- Processor - 4-core Intel Xeon with a clock speed of 3.7 GHz.
- RAM - 12 GB DRAM.
- Video card - 2 * AMD FirePro D300.
- The disk subsystem is a flash drive with a capacity of 256 GB.

In addition to upgrading the processor, the user can count on at least the possibility of increasing the amount of RAM up to 64GB and a flash drive up to 1 TB.
