Just a day after its release, iOS 7.1 was installed on 5.9% of operating devices in North America. The rate of distribution of the novelty is at the same levels as that of the previous firmware version iOS 7.0.6.
Data from analyst firm Chitika, released on Tuesday, shows that the latest release of Apple's mobile platform update is at a rate similar to the adoption rate of previous iOS pinch updates, accounting for 5.9% of total North American iOS web traffic over the past 24 hours.
In the course of the research, Chitika Insights analyzed tens of millions of ad impressions to American and Canadian users of iOS devices from March 9 to 11.
The latest version of the iOS 7.1 platform was released on Monday, March 10th. It has many graphical additions, fixes and enhancements. The main feature of the update is the CarPlay function, which allows you to integrate your mobile device into the car's computer system.
In addition, in iOS 7.1, a bug in the Touch ID operation was fixed, due to which the system could eventually “forget” the owner's fingerprint data.
Apple has also addressed a widespread addressing bug reported by a large number of users. The problem occurred when using various applications, including original Apple programs such as Mail, and caused the device to restart.
Finally, the company has added a number of changes to the mobile platform interface, including an improved calendar, a new keyboard and faster animations.
