A new project has appeared on the KickStarter crowdfunding resource, captivating with its simplicity and functionality. The American startup, which creates products under the Fine Grain brand, invited users to participate in the launch of a new product - a wooden iPad holder called COBURNS.

The device, if you can call it that, consists of two wooden blocks with grooves corresponding to the thickness of the tablet, with which you can adjust the position of the iPad relative to the table surface. The closer the bars are to the bottom base of the tablet, the higher the angle. Since the material for COBURNS is soft hardwood, the creators ensure that the screen of the device will not be scratched when using such a stand. The light model is made from local maple and the dark one is made from Pau Ferro wood, which comes from South America. The dimensions of the slot into which the tablet is inserted exactly correspond to the parameters of a particular model. Customers are offered stands for iPad 3/4, iPad Air, iPad mini, and iPad mini with Retina display.

To keep the bars from getting lost, they are equipped with magnets to keep them together. The developers claim that magnets cannot in any way affect the operation of either the screen or any other component of the tablet. A natural wool strap has also been developed to carry the stand, with which COBURNS can be fastened to clothes with a carabiner.

In just five days of the project's existence on KickStarter, the developers were able to attract the attention of 188 users who invested more than $ 9 thousand in it. It should be noted that the creators of the stand set their goal to collect the $ 5 thousand necessary to launch the industrial production of COBURNS. As part of the project on KickStarter, the cost of the product is only $ 19.
