Gamemaker Rovio, the creator of the hugely popular game Angry Birds, announced in May the launch of its new label for mobile games, Rovio Stars. It is a program that will focus on creating "the best new games from talented and innovative programmers." To this end, the company encouraged third-party game developers to collaborate.
On Thursday, in the framework of Rovio Stars in the store App Store appeared first game under the new brand for iOS called Icebreaker: Viking Voyage. The game was created by the British studio Nitrome. The game combines dynamic and action-packed adventure with an original sense of humor.
Game Icebreaker: Viking Voyage challenges players, because of the shipwreck got on the inhospitable ice island. In the course of the game, they will have to fight many evil trolls, avoid deadly traps and crush mountains of ice.
The goal of Icebreaker: Viking Voyage is to free the Viking team from the ice captivity, which will require crumbling ice blocks, cutting ropes, overcoming obstacles and fighting trolls.
The game consists of 95 levels, and will delight you with puzzles, quests, epic heroes and hidden surprises.
Icebreaker: Viking Voyage will also launch for Mac and desktop, as well as other mobile platforms, and will feature 30 puzzles and 85 hidden items scattered across five separate chapters.
Rovio Stars is also preparing the release of Tiny Thief from Barcelona-based developer Ants Studio.
The new label promises to help third-party developers improve their games, publish programs in the App Store, thereby giving them access to a wide audience of the famous gamemaker. The company also offers developers marketing and PR support under the Rovio Stars brand, which can turn the game of an unknown programmer into a global blockbuster.
