The development team from Ukraine, who previously created the iBlazr LED flash, brought an unusual novelty to CES-2014. They designed a backlit smartphone case that doesn't drain the device's battery.
The principle of operation of Lunecase is based on capturing and transforming the energy of electromagnetic radiation generated by the antenna of a smartphone. It is she who makes the low-power LEDs glow, located in a ring around the Apple logo on the back of the device. The brightness is not high enough to illuminate your way in a dark park, but as an alternative to the beeps when you turn on silent, the Lunecase seems to be a very promising solution.
And it really does not drain the iPhone battery, at least it was not possible to notice a decrease in the charge level. That was exactly what the visitors of the exhibition liked, who gave high marks to the luminous case. So far, this is only a working prototype, but the Ukrainians promise to provide it with additional functions and launch it into production as soon as possible - there are already a lot of iPhone owners eager to purchase a new product.
