The introduction of the fingerprint sensor in the iPhone 5S has become one of the most talked about events in the IT world in recent years. Despite the fact that the elements of biometric security have already appeared more than once in other devices, it was the Touch ID scanner that became the subject of discussions on the readiness of modern technologies to implement such components in mobile gadgets.

In general, the Touch ID sensor caused a mixed reaction - some rejoice at the opportunity to unlock the device with one touch of a finger, while others complain about the component's "flimsy" (German hackers hacked the fingerprint scanner using a laser printer, image scanner and consumables). However, not only serious questions concerning the level of protection of user data are of interest to observers. So, one of the authors of the resource Mashable asked the question - what parts of the body can be used to unlock the fingerprint sensor in the iPhone 5S ?

Actually, in his material, the author has collected all the currently available successful experiments using different parts of the body to obtain a papillary pattern that would be perceived by Touch ID … It turned out that a toe, elbow, tip of the nose, nipple, as well as a dog's, a cat's and, apparently, any other paw, are quite suitable for working with the component.

Naturally, no one asks questions about the practicality, aesthetics and hygiene of such methods of using a smartphone, but the fact remains that the sensor built into the Home button of the iPhone 5S smartphone does not matter which part of the body the owner will use to undergo the identification procedure. It is only noted that the fingerprint of the hand is nevertheless perceived by the device much faster - the papillary pattern on the finger has a higher relief.
