According to analysts from InsightExpress, in 2014 Apple and Samsung should not be afraid of intrigues from competitors - they will not be able to do anything if they wanted to.

The results of the fourth financial quarter have been summed up and it is easy to understand that Apple still has a large share of the smartphone market - 39%. At the same time, the South Korean company showed incomparably greater activity and significantly strengthened its position, as evidenced by the growth from 29% to 36%. InsightExpress also noticed that the results of all other smartphone manufacturers are much worse. It's no exaggeration to say that only Apple and Samsung have achieved something this year.

In fact, the struggle is between these two companies, but it is interesting to compare not the products themselves, but the preferences of their owners - this clearly shows the strengths and weaknesses of different models. For example, iPhone and iPad users are more likely to take pictures and share them online, 54% versus 38% for their colleagues from the Samsung camp. "Yablokoy" generally more actively use the functions of their gadgets, 35% constantly make online purchases, 83% regularly write in social networks, and another 63% use the power of calendars and organizers with might and main.
For comparison, among Galaxy and Note owners according to these indicators, the numbers are more modest, 20%, 74% and 52%, respectively. And only in the area of musical preferences there is parity - everyone likes good sound and an abundance of tracks in network storages. InsightExpress analysts drew attention to how the release of iOS 7 influenced the opinion of the bulk of users. The impressions of the latest version of the operating system undoubtedly improved the attitude towards i-gadgets in general - 80% of those surveyed intend to opt for the iPhone during the next smartphone update. True, among those who still doubt, 64% are inclined to think about Samsung products.

Alas, as interesting as these conclusions were, InsightExpress employees clearly took into account only the opinion of the audience in the United States. And on a global scale, the picture of the market for mobile gadgets may turn out to be somewhat different, although the leaders will still remain unchanged.
