According to the Taiwanese edition of the Liberty Times, Pegatron, one of Apple's partners, expects to receive a contract to produce half of the iPhone 6. Recall that the iPad mini and iPhone 5c are currently being assembled at Pegatron's facilities, while another partner of the Cupertino-based company, Foxconn, is responsible for assembling the iPhone 5s.

The report does not indicate which of the contractors will be entrusted with the assembly of the remaining iPhone 6, however, analysts believe that the second assembler may also be Foxconn. At the moment, it is difficult to say exactly how the production will be divided between the partners of Tim Cook's company, since it is not known whether one gadget will be presented next year, or, by analogy with the iPhone 5c and iPhone 5s, Apple will present two devices at once. It is noteworthy that rumors appeared on the Web about the possible development of simultaneously two versions of the iPhone 6 smartphone with a screen diagonal of 4.7 to 5.7 inches.

Considering the fact that the Pegatronhas long been a manufacturing partner of Apple, last fall, an American corporation engaged it in assembling the iPhone 5c to prevent potential shortages of popular devices and not interrupt the supply chain. Increased demand for Apple devices has prompted the builder to expand its manufacturing capacity, which has announced plans to build a new plant in Kunshan, China.

Note that according to various sources, the iPhone 6 will have a curved display and will also be faster thanks to the more efficient A8 processor. In addition, the novelty will receive an improved 8-megapixel camera. At the moment it is not known when Apple will present the new product, however, according to tradition, the release of the next generation iPhone should be expected no earlier than this fall.
