Apple's real failure with the iPhone 5c is becoming increasingly evident. A number of sources close to production report a possible decrease in the supply of the device due to catastrophically low interest from buyers.
Previously, C Technology, a well-known Chinese resource, has already shared information regarding the reduction in production of the budget model of the popular smartphone. And now, unfortunately, the situation is only getting worse.
According to the publication DigiTimes, a partner of the American company, the Chinese corporation Foxconn will completely cease production of the iPhone 5c at a factory located in Zhengzhou. The vacated production capacity will be used to increase the production of the flagship iPhone 5s smartphone.
At the moment, sales of the iPhone 5c account for only 21.4% of the combined volume of the last two Apple smartphones. Interestingly, in the resale market, the iPhone 5c price continues to plummet.
Recall that in September 2013, the iPhone 5c replaced the iPhone 5, having almost the same technical filling and a durable polycarbonate case with multi-colored options. The official start of sales in Russia took place on October 25. The price for the 16 and 32 GB versions is 24,990 and 29,990 rubles, respectively.
