We recently reported that iPhone 5S delivery times when purchased in branded stores have decreased to 3-5 days. At the same time, it was assumed that such a result could be achieved by increasing production capacity or reducing the demand for smartphones.

According to the authoritative publication Wall Street Journal, this is due to the increase in capacity. It turned out that Foxconn management, acting at the request of Apple, increased the production capacity for the iPhone 5S by reducing those on the iPhone 5C.

Interestingly, this number, namely 500,000, accounted for sales of the flagship Moto X smartphone in the third quarter.
For the iPhone 5C, there are currently only 500 workers on each production line. This is due to the fact that the assembly procedure for this model of the device is not so complicated.
