The popular game Flappy Bird, which has become widespread due to its crushing complexity, does not seem to be going to give up positions. The creator of the game, Dong Nguyen, recently removed the app from all the stores we know, but, according to the developer, he is considering returning Flappy Bird to the App Store and Google Play.

In a new interview with Rolling Stone, Nguyen talked about many different things, including why he pulled the game from app stores, and how this scandalous popularity affected his life. In addition, answering another question, the developer mentioned that he is thinking about those to return Flappy Bird to players.
The iOS app appeared in the App Store on May 24, but it wasn't widely known until a few months later. The popularity surge began in December and after a while the game became the best free application.

Like everyone else, he was shocked by the meteoric rise in popularity of the application and, of course, by the huge flows of money that poured into his bank account. Even taking into account the share of Apple and Google, the developer received about $ 50,000 per day. But the joy, unfortunately, was not so long. Fame and money were only one side of this medal. After some time, Nguyen's face began to appear in all Vietnamese newspapers and TV channels, and the local paparazzi literally haunted him. However, the worst of it all was user posts.

According to Nguyen, he himself flunked the exams at the university due to his strong addiction to the game Counter-Strike, and therefore he could not help but take such statements to heart. By early February, the total amount of relentless criticism and accusations had gone beyond reasonable limits. Nguyen stopped sleeping, could not concentrate and even stopped going outside. His parents began to worry about their son's health, and the developers' tweets took on a tinge of despondency. "I can say that Flappy Bird, on the one hand, is my greatest success, but on the other hand, the game completely ruined my simple life, and therefore I hate it with all my heart." The only solution the developer found was to uninstall Flappy Birdfrom app stores. After the corresponding tweet, the game was downloaded by more than 10 million people in just 22 hours, and then the developer got rid of the responsibility hanging on him with one click.

Such a sharp step, of course, caused a wave of rumors. Some talked about Nguyen's suicide, while others talked about the alleged strong prosecution by Nintendo. But, in fact, the developer's life continues to go uphill, because he still has a certain income (about $ 1000 per day) from advertising and, of course, is working on new projects.

As for the future of the game, the developer flatly refuses to sell it, because Nguyen is not ready to sacrifice his independence. But will we ever see Flappy Bird on virtual counters again ?
In any case, the success of Flappy Bird and the extraordinary story of its creator, of course, had a strong impact on the entire global gaming industry.
