Based on the experience of past presentations, the release of a new smartphone from Apple, which the media has already "christened" the iPhone 6, should take place in early autumn 2014. Users are eagerly awaiting new items, as well as expressing their wishes for its future features. We bring to your attention a list of possible innovations that users would like to see in the iPhone 6.

1. Display with a larger diagonal
Apple has taken a big step forward with the iPhone 5 with a 4-inch screen. Rumor has it that the next generation smartphone could get a 4.7 or even 5.5 inches display with a 400 ppi resolution, which is the highest ever released on a smartphone.

2. More durable sapphire crystal, resistant to damage
Earlier iPhones (4 and 4S) had glass on both the front and back. The back of the iPhone 5 and iPhone 5s are made of metal, while the iPhone 5c is made of plastic. Although the display glass is tougher than normal glass, it will still be damaged if dropped. According to some reports, sapphire crystal is by far one of the most durable materials used in displays.

3. Lighter and stronger Liquidmetal body
All generations of iPhones wear out over time, and their cases show numerous scratches and damages (for example, from keys worn in a pocket). New patents obtained by Apple suggest that the cases of new generations of iPhone and iPad can be made from an amorphous alloy that is scratch-resistant, and also lighter and easier to process.

4. Support for NFC technology for wireless payments
Almost all smartphones of major manufacturers support NFC technology, which allows contactless payments through special readers.

5. Faster 64-bit A7X processor
The iPhone 6 will not do without a new processor, which will be either the upgraded A7X or the new A8. The M7 coprocessor is expected to receive an update as well. There is still no clear information on the manufacturer of the next processor for iOS devices.

6. Battery capable of providing 24-hour battery life for iPhone
One of the key disadvantages of the iPhone is its short battery life. The high-resolution display and some functions are power-consuming and therefore the battery will drain very quickly. If you use your smartphone only for talking, then the battery charge lasts for 10-12 hours, which is not very much.

7. More storage (at least 128GB)
IPhones are currently available in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB capacities. After the release in 2013 of the 128 gigabyte version of the iPad, Apple is likely to continue the trend of increasing the memory of mobile devices for the iPhone, because many owners of Apple smartphones use it as a portable media device to store a huge amount of media files.
8. Eye movement recognition technology
Samsung has long used eye tracking technology in its smartphones, allowing users to scroll through pages. Apple could follow the example of the South Korean company and implement similar technology with a FaceTime camera.

9. Improved front-facing camera FaceTime
Surely every smartphone owner has photographed himself at least once in his life using a mobile device. The front-facing FaceTime camera leaves a lot to be desired, at least in low-light conditions. Apple could improve the quality of photos and video calls by implementing a 3- or 4-megapixel camera in the smartphone.

10. Faster connection via Lightning
The proprietary Lightning interface allows data transfer between the computer and the device at a fairly high speed. It would seem, what could be faster? However, if the next generation iPhone reaches 128GB, the transfer rate should be faster.

11. New platform iOS 8 with improvements and fixes
Most likely, Apple will present iOS 8 at the Worldwide Developer Conference in June this year. At the same time, the public release of the platform will take place in parallel with the appearance of the iPhone 6. Users hope that the new version of the OS will allow group calls using FaceTime, and will also receive a more advanced map service.
