Recently, from the mouths of the first persons of such companies as Google, Apple, HTC and others, predictions have been made repeatedly about the prospects for the direction of wearable gadgets. While Google VP Mohammad Govdat talked about the company's potential to become a market pioneer, and Tim Cook, in turn, criticized Google Glass.
little-known British manufacturer Androidly has released the first wearable smartphone.

It should be noted right away that the novelty does not pretend to be the leader in this segment (yielding, for example, to Geak smart watches), however, it has a number of features that make it possible to talk about a wearable smartphone as an innovative device. First of all, it is worth noting the complete autonomy of the Androidly device - a smartphone that can be worn on the hand is an absolutely self-sufficient device with the ability to make and receive calls, exchange messages and play multimedia content.

It should be noted that some of the announced models (for example, the Geak smart watch) also support the device's autonomous operation, however, they lose the functions of a smartphone. The bulk of such devices, led by the expected iWatch smart watch from Apple, is considered exclusively in conjunction with the main gadget (smartphone, tablet, etc.).

The hardware characteristics of the Androidly wearable smartphone are hardly outstanding - a microchip clocked at 416 MHz, a 2-inch screen with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels, 256 MB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage. Peripherals complement the picture significantly - a built-in speaker and microphone, a 2-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth interfaces bring the device closer to the level of wearable computers. At the same time, the cost of the device ranges from $ 230 to $ 270 by pre-order (a Geak smart watch, for example, will cost $ 330, having a more powerful (1 GHz) processor and doubled (512 MB) RAM, however, a more modest display and functionality).
