LG has announced its first curved smartphone, the G Flex, with pretty solid specs. Unlike the recently unveiled Samsung Galaxy Round smartphone, the device is curved not lengthwise, but across, which makes it more comfortable to work in a horizontal orientation.
It is noteworthy that the characteristics of the novelty are far from experimental - the G Flex is equipped with a 4-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 microchip and a 2 GB RAM module, a curved OLED display has a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels with a diagonal of 6 inches, and optical modules are responsible for creating high-quality photos and videos. with a matrix resolution of 13 and 2.1 megapixels. At the same time, the device weighs 177 grams and is equipped with a 3500 mAh lithium-ion battery.
The curved form factor, according to the developers, has significantly improved the quality of communication, and also offers users a unique display quality of graphics, comparable to IMAX technologies. So, when speaking, G FlexIt fits as close as possible to the user's mouth and ear, which increases the sound quality by 3 decibels, and the image on the 6-inch display, in horizontal orientation, is striking for realism, due to the lateral bending of the device. Recall that earlier LG introduced a curved 4K TV, which was the first experience of the South Korean manufacturer in creating deformed OLED displays.
