Today's users can hardly be surprised by the emergence of a new online store that would host applications for mobile devices. Since the majority have long chosen one of the existing content supermarkets for themselves: App Store, Google Play, Amazon Appstore, etc.
Despite the fact that Apple 's gadgets are among the most popular in the world, analysts from Pfeiffer decided to check whether the online store for iOS devices meets these indicators. For this, experts studied four main parameters: search; restrictions for users; assistance in finding software products and content management. Each of the items was rated at a maximum of 100%.
Although the App Store managed to rank first on the list, the Apple store was unable to outperform its competitors in some measure. For example, the best searches are done on Google Play (67%), App Store - 25%, Amazon Appstore- fourteen%. The Android app store also won out in the freedom category, as Apple and Amazon contain far more regional restrictions.
However, the App Store received 67.5% for content management, while Google Play received only 42.5%. As for help in finding software products, Apple provides it at a high level (there are 384 subcategories in the online store for mobile applications). This is proved by the assessment of experts from Pfeiffer, who gave the Cupertinians 44%, Amazon - 8.43%, and Google - 2.25%. Also, don't forget that the App Storecontains a total of 176 collections of applications and 3773 special applications. In Google Play, the figures are 28 and 235 respectively.
Thus, the analysts of the consulting company said that out of 100% of the requirements, Apple's store corresponds to 53.1%. Google is not too far behind - it was given 40.9%. Amazon Appstore only got 34.1%.
