On Tuesday, the microblogging service officially unveiled the next version of its free client for iPhone and iPad. The main innovations are optimized search, redesigned design, ergonomic menu and the ability to add photos to private messages. By the way, third-party Twitter clients such as Tweetbot or Osfoora 2 do not yet have the latter option.

Today, following the mobile update, an updated Twitter client for Mac was released. Most of all, of course, the visual changes of the application, which went through a large-scale redesign, are striking. For example, the icons were pseudo-volumetric, became flat and a little larger, to match the style of iOS 7.

User profiles have a new look, they are now much more informative and show more information about the account - the profile is displayed as a small banner.
The mechanism for using attachments to tweets has also been optimized, if you open a message with a link, photo, etc., then the hassle when working with them will be less than before. Plus the ability to view previews of photos in the feed instead of having to download the entire image.

Quick View is useful in a number of situations, such as if your MacBook is connected to the Internet using a USB tethering or cellular network. When the bandwidth of the channel is low, the preview turns out to be a real godsend, but this option can be disabled at any time in the application settings.
