Apple is confidently and purposefully gaining momentum by gradually focusing the production of Mac computers in the United States. The Cupertino-based company has officially placed Flextronics International on its list of Mac assemblers in its Supplier Responsibility Report, Bloomberg reported.
It should be noted, nevertheless, that Foxconn Technology Group remains one of the main suppliers and manufacturers of devices for the "apple" company, which includes 7 enterprises in China and Brazil.
The Flextronics plant, headquartered in Singapore, is located in Austin, Texas, where Mac computers are assembled.
Recall that Apple's decision to add Flextronics International to the list of the main "American" suppliers can be called quite natural, because at the end of 2012 the head of the company Tim Cook announced his intention to concentrate the production of Mac computers in the United States of America. For this purpose, he even allocated about $ 100 million.
The list of Mac suppliers in the United States also includes Taiwan's Quanta with a representative office in California. In addition to her, in November 2012, Apple announced the payment of $ 578 million to GT Advanced Technologies Inc., which will supply equipment for the production of sapphire glass for the iPhone in Mesa, Arizona.
