As we know, Apple has always opposed the stylus and touch devices that require one to enter information. After all, iOS was designed specifically for fingers and Steve Jobs once said - "if you see the stylus, then they ruined the device." However, none of this stopped the Cupertino-based company from working on its own.

A new patent application published by the US Patent & Trademark Office last week shows that Apple is working on the Active Stylus, a revolutionary new, multi-functional stylus designed specifically to overcome common problems with existing solutions.
The Internet blog Patently Apple, which released the new patent application, explains that Apple's new "Active Stylus" works in a completely different way than conventional styluses.
The new active stylus will provide more accurate touch sensing to capacitive touchscreens without increasing the cost. The diagram above explains how the stylus works.

As an example, in its patent application, Apple mentions the iPhone and iPad, which could act as devices with which this stylus could be used. Despite the fact that iOS is designed directly for fingers, Apple is now well aware that in certain cases it needs a stylus. Indeed, in many applications, for example, those designed for sketching and drawing, it is much better and more convenient to work with the stylus.
Of course, Apple's patent is not a 100% guarantee of the launch of this stylus, but it is direct proof that Cupertino is still working on this device. So it is quite possible that these ideas can be embodied in the company's future products.
