The Russian company teXet, known before the rebranding in 2004 as Alcatel, has released the teXet iX smartphone based on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, which looks very much like the iPhone 5. Naturally, comparing the performance of the original "apple" smartphone and the Russian clone is impractical, however, for its value, the iX is pretty good.

Needless to say, teXet iX is being assembled at production facilities in China? By the way, the well-known company Foxconn, one of the main partners of Apple, is engaged in this. The device is wrapped in a plastic case, made in the style of an iPhone - the exterior elements, control buttons, ports and interfaces, the camera and flash are almost identical. At the same time, teXet iX is available with replaceable panels in two colors - gold and black.

As for the performance of the Russian gadget, it is provided by a MediaTek MT6572 microprocessor with a clock frequency of 1.2 GHz, 512 MB of RAM and a MALI-400MP graphics coprocessor. The manufacturer does not indicate the battery capacity of the smartphone, however, it claims a modest, by today's standards, 4.5 hours of web surfing and 320 hours of standby time.

Capacitive 4.5-inch display with IPS-matrix is made using One Glass Solution technology (without air gap), which allowed developers to significantly reduce the size of teXet iX … The screen resolution is 960 x 540 dots (240 pixels per square inch). The optics of the gadget is represented by an 8-megapixel main camera with autofocus and a 2-megapixel front camera. The smartphone supports work in 3G networks, is equipped with Wi-Fi and GPS modules, and also works simultaneously with two SIM cards.

As mentioned above, this set of modules functions under the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean mobile OS. The cost of teXet iX in Russia is about 6 thousand rubles, which puts the smartphone in the budget class. You can buy the new product in teXet brand stores.
