Quite recently, the iH8sn0w hacker revealed an iBoot-type vulnerability in the architecture of the A5 (X) processor family, which will allow you to get an " eternal jailbreak " on devices using this chip. Continuing this news, the hacker Winocm said that the flagship iPhone 5S could be hacked in a similar way.

Despite the fact that the A5 and A5X processors are considered morally outdated, many popular gadgets are equipped with them, for example, the iPhone 4s, the iPad 2, 3, iPad mini and the iPod touch 5G player. Using the developments of iH8sn0w, his colleague Winocm suggested that hacking the iPhone 5S with its latest A7 processor would not be difficult.

The possibility of "eternal" jailbreak depends on the presence of the necessary vulnerability located at the hardware level of the device. Such a gap cannot be patched with any software, no matter how much Apple programmers try to release updates. The vulnerability at the hardware level of iOS devices (A4 processor) was first discovered several years ago by the famous hacker George Hotz "Geohot".

The situation with the iBoot loophole for the iPhone 5S is more interesting, because we are talking about a 64-bit architecture on which several next models of iOS devices will be built. Therefore, iH8sn0w and Winocm are not going to rush to release exploits to get jailbreak, saving valuable data for new versions of iOS and subsequent devices.
