Blog Gizmodo reports that Apple engineers have developed a universal case for the new generation of iPad tablets. He designed in the style of a similar device for the Surface of the Microsoft, ie, it is both a protective sheath, and a full size keyboard.
If in general experts consider the tablet from Microsoft to be a failure, then certain accessories for it definitely fall into the category of successful solutions. These include the keyboard cover, the concept of which was used in Cupertino when creating their own, much more promising than the competitors, iPad 5 tablet. There is no question of direct copying - according to Gizmodo, the designers went through many options before settling on one as the most successful.
A keyboard case for the iPad is actually a very complex technological device, perhaps the most problematic component of a tablet, which took a lot of time and effort to create. It's all about the very tough constraints set before the engineers - the cover must be as strong as possible to provide real protection for a fragile electronic device. And at the same time not to be too massive and uncomfortable, on the contrary, the accessory was designed to match the main gadget, compact and stylish.
A number of compromises had to be made, which resulted in the appearance of a keyboard built into the case. It is also known that the shell will connect to the iPad via Bluetooth 4.0, attach to it with magnetic locks and be sold in various colors. Such a shell is not afraid of moisture and dust, it is easy to wash it and it may well become a universal protection for a tablet. The new universal keyboard cover will be sold as an optional accessory, similar to the Smart Cover.
We will probably learn more about the new shell-keyboard during the official presentation of the new generation of Apple tablets. Let us remind you that it is scheduled for tomorrow, October 22.
