On the Kickstarter crowdfunding resource, you can find many interesting accessories for Apple gadgets, the creators of which raise money to start mass production of their device. One such start-up is wobL, an iPhone stand with alarm functions.

So, the main idea of the developers is to combine the functions of an original universal stand for all models of iPhone, iPod Touch and devices from other manufacturers, and an alarm clock that turns off with one motion. Actually, the wobL construction largely explains the idea of the authors of the project. It is a rubberized half-cylinder, into which an iPhone, iPod or other suitable gadget can be easily inserted in a horizontal position, equipped with a metal counterweight for stability.

The creators decided to make life easier for users and to make it as easy as possible to turn off the alarm. A special application (which is currently only available for iOS devices) reacts to fluctuations in the gyroscope readings when wobL shakes and turns off the alarm. Thus, it is enough just to push the smartphone or, for example, the night table on which the stand is located, to deactivate the signal. The application is very simple and convenient - no additional options and functions - only a specified time and animation in the form of the sun rising above the virtual horizon as the specified signal time approaches.

The developers emphasize the fact that they intend to make wobL in the United States from recycled materials - the environmental friendliness and cost of the device should only benefit from this. Unfortunately, the Kickstarter fundraising campaign was not crowned with success - out of the required $ 29 thousand, the developers raised a little more than $ 5,000, however, the authors of the idea do not despair and will look for alternative ways to start mass production of wobL.
