Amazon was almost the last company to resort to comparison with Apple devices to advertise its own products. As part of the creation of a commercial for the 8.9-inch Kindle Fire HDX tablet, the company decided to demonstrate the difference between it and the new iPad Air.

The characteristics of the devices are described by an Amazon employee and a person impersonating Joni Ive. The latter touts the apple tablet:
So, according to a company representative, the new product from Amazon is equipped with a display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels (iPad Air - only 2048 x 1536), which is supposedly a million pixels more. It also benefits from the Kindle Fire HDX's weight, which is 20% lighter than the iPad Air (0.4 kg versus 0.5 kg). And, of course, the main advantage of the Amazon device is its cost - $ 379 for a model with 16 GB of memory. Note that a version of the latest iPad with a similar memory size will cost $ 499.
It's worth noting that there are no negative comparisons in the Kindle Fire HDX ad. So, if the iPad Air in the video is called "surprisingly" light, then the Kindle Fire HDX - "amazingly" light.

Yet, while Microsoft remains the leader in parodying Apple commercials. For example, the Redmond-based company even replayed a video that used the voice acting of the voice assistant Siri. Microsoft also parodied the videos featuring Jony Ive and the late Steve Jobs.
