On the Tomshardware portal, where the news was published, this leak is presented as a serious claim of the company for leadership in the production of such gadgets. Allegedly, a monster has been developed in Redmond laboratories that will carry many times more fitness sensors on board than all existing models, but at the same time it will be compact and cross-platform.

The leak provides information about fully open APIs and a "flexible" interface, which is unusual for the old Microsoft policy, but could bring good dividends for the new format.
The alleged device does not even have a codename yet and the creatives would have to work hard, choosing fundamentally different words than those preferred by competitors. The fact is that Microsoft's "smart watches" will be arranged differently, their screen is tiny and located on the back of the structure. Something like this - on the outside of the wrist there are a couple of LED indicators and buttons, and to look at the display, you need to turn your hand with your palm towards your face. This was done on purpose so that no outsider would look closely at the user's confidential health data.
Of those, if you believe all the same leak, the device will be able to collect an incredible amount. Incredible - compared to realistic, not fantastic forecasts regarding the functionality of the same iWatch. The number of sensors of different types is about 10-11, possibly, they are being developed by Texas Instruments and Atmel. There is no information about what specific sensors we are talking about, but so much has been written on this topic that it is not difficult to imagine. In general, a rather interesting gadget comes out - if Microsoft is not mistaken in setting the price tags, there is a chance to get a new sensation.
