10 hours of battery life is not the limit for Apple tablets, as is the ability to retain the remaining charge even after a day of use. In reality, by wisely using the capabilities of devices, you can surpass this indicator. How to do it - read on.

1. Reducing the brightness of the display
The most understandable and simple method, the only serious drawback of which is the danger to the organs of vision - it is often not recommended to use a darkened screen. In iOS 6, this is implemented quite simply, even without having to dig into the jungle of settings, by double-clicking on the home button and left swipe to call the brightness slider. In the seventh version, the switch is called through the Control Center, with a swipe from bottom to top. If you often use iPad in dark rooms, it will be advisable to turn off automatic brightness adjustment and not let your gadget waste battery power.

2. Manipulation with auto-blocking
While there is no need for an iPad, let it lie with the screen off and save energy. To do this, you just need to remember to turn off the display with the top button, in extreme cases, just set the auto-lock parameter to the minimum time. The desired switch is here: Settings / General / Auto-lock.

3. Disable notifications
A smart system considers it its duty to notify the owner of the gadget about everything, even minor events, but a lot of energy is wasted on this. The solution lies in disabling this option through the Notification Center - when you want to know if there is anything new, you will do it anyway. Please note that applications outside the list can also report about themselves - you need to check their settings individually.

4. Geolocation is not always needed
The location service by establishing a Wi-Fi connection is too expensive in terms of battery consumption. And it is not particularly needed in everyday life, at least not at any particular moment in time. So, it's time to go through Settings / Privacy / Geolocation and disable it, or prioritize and allow only selected applications to use this option, and not everyone in a row.

5. Unloading unnecessary memory
IOS applications can run in the background, remaining in memory after the main window is closed for a long enough time due to the specifics of their algorithm. In order not to waste precious energy maintaining all this software junk, you have to unload the surplus manually. To do this, open the multitasking panel by swiping 4 fingers from the bottom to the middle of the screen or by double clicking on the home button. And then we find the programs we are looking for and delete them by holding the icons pressed for 2 seconds and selecting the appropriate submenu item.
6. We monitor the battery consumption using the indicator
There is a Statistics item in the iPad settings, in which the battery charge indication switch is located. In the matter of saving energy, this is the main tool, so it must always be turned on - this will help control the process with greater accuracy.
