Apple CEO Tim Cook has made a personal investment in startup Nebia, which is developing an eco - friendly, ultra- economical shower head. In addition to Cook, the idea was supported by the co-founder of the Schmidt Family Foundation, Eric Schmidt and businessman Michael Burch.

The main feature of the Nebia shower system is a special nozzle that breaks the stream into tiny drops and increases the surface area on which the water falls. According to the developers, such a solution can reduce water consumption by 70% and cost 27 liters, while a regular shower requires 90 liters.

Nebia has already tested a prototype of the system in locker rooms at the Equinox fitness chain, as well as on campuses at Google, Apple and Stanford University. To launch the invention into mass production, the developers organized a fundraising campaign on the Kickstarter crowdfunding site.
The project attracted users so much that the amount of donations has already exceeded the required $ 100 thousand. Currently, Nebia has almost $ 900 thousand in the piggy bank.
As part of the campaign, those who wish can purchase an ultra-economical shower head at a price of $ 299, and its retail price will be $ 399. The start of deliveries is scheduled for May 2016.
