Mobile versions of websites are really easy to browse from an iPhone or iPad. However, navigation in this case will be somewhat limited due to the simplified user interface. That is why owners of gadgets running iOS 8 will love working with Safari. The fact is that users can independently choose the viewing mode, in particular the desktop one.

Most of the users have probably more than once had a chance to browse websites from an iPhone or iPad, and they probably noticed that the page display format is noticeably different from what we see when working with a laptop or computer. The reason for this is the presence of specially designed mobile versions of sites that are faster and easier to open on smaller screens.
But it's worth remembering that the iPhone 6 received an enlarged display, and when working with a 9.7-inch iPad, the mobile version of the page is not always necessary. Considering the fact that navigation of sites in the desktop version is sometimes much more convenient, it would be very useful to have a similar option on mobile gadgets.
Fortunately, it is present in iOS 8 - Apple has implemented a feature in the Safari browser that allows you to activate a full-fledged browsing mode. It should be noted that the option does not guarantee the display of the desktop version of the web page - in this case, the user simply "requests" such an option. The fact is that the codes of some sites provide for a prohibition on activating the desktop mode when opened on a mobile device.
Be that as it may, below are instructions on how to use the above functionality in Safari on iOS 8.
To view the full version of the website on iPhone or iPad, you need to open Safari and go to the page of the desired resource. Sometimes sites do not provide a mobile version - then you can enjoy the work with the site. Otherwise, you should adhere to the following steps.
When the page has loaded, click on the address bar, after which the keyboard is activated. Swipe down to activate the "hidden" options.

These functions will be displayed at the top of the screen. True, there is a possibility that they will be a little difficult to see, but this in no way affects the ability to use them.
Now you need to click on the button " Full version of the site ". Safari will then try to download the full version of the specified website (if possible).

As a reminder, this may not work. For example, when performing the above manipulations with eBay and YouTube on a mobile device, you can download the desktop version. But in the case of Apple's site, only the mobile version of the page loaded.
