The set-top box Apple TV 4G, presented at the September conference of the "apple" company, will go on sale on October 26. This was announced by Apple CEO Tim Cook at the Digital Live event. New items will be delivered on pre-orders next week.
The new model of the set-top box was demonstrated by the Cupertinians as part of the presentation held on September 9. During the event, the main characteristics of the device were announced: Apple TV 4G was equipped with an A8 chip, built-in memory of 32 or 64 GB, Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11ac modules and HDMI 1.4 and USB-C connectors. Also, the set includes a modified remote control with a touch panel.
Cost Apple TV 4G starts from $ 149. For this money, users get a device that can play video and music from computers, mobile devices and online resources. In addition, thanks to a software upgrade, the new console model can be used for games and online purchases.
The exact date when the device will appear in Russia is not yet known. However, recently it was reported that Apple was in talks with Russian owners of online cinemas in order to enter into cooperation to create Russified applications.
According to statistics, several tens of thousands of people in Russia use Apple TV boxes. Most of the Apple TV audience is concentrated in the capital of the Russian Federation.
