According to Taiwanese business publication DigiTimes, the next-generation Apple smartphone will have one useful feature and get rid of an annoying flaw.
Component supplier Catcher Technologies will reportedly manufacture a waterproof case for the iPhone. In addition, it will use, quote, "new composite materials". The latter will help hide the antenna frames, which iPhone 6 and 6s users are complaining about.
DigiTimes writes that Catcher Technologies accounts for up to 35% of Apple's total order for the production of cases for the iPhone 7 - the supplier is the largest partner of Cupertinians in this area. Cooperation with Apple (the company produces cases not only for the iPhone, but also for the MacBook) brings Catcher up to 60% of the total profit.
The publication also notes that in the first quarter of 2016, shipments of already released iPhones to retail chains will decrease by 30%. There is nothing surprising in this - the beginning of the year always turns out to be much more modest for Apple, because in December iPhone sales reach their apogee, after which the interest in Apple smartphones inevitably decreases for several months.

Most modern premium smartphones are wrapped in waterproof cases, but manufacturers do not guarantee the safety of the device after contact with liquids. That is, if an iPhone or other gadget is out of order due to water getting inside the case, then the device is considered damaged due to the user's fault, which means it makes sense to additionally protect expensive electronics
"Drowned!" Almost every major smartphone manufacturer is concerned about their problem, and not least buyers. And while companies like HZO and Liquipel try to teach iPhones not to be afraid of water, their technology is still not available to the mainstream consumer
